The Southern Connecticut State football team piled up 454 rushing yards in a 45-42 Northeast-10 win over Bentley on Saturday in Waltham, Mass.

Running backs Vochan Fowler (152 yards, two TDs) and Eli Parks (149 yards, two TDs) led the Owls, who fell 23 yards shy of the team’s single-game rushing record of 477 yards set againt LIU-Post in 1984.

SCSU quarterback Raymond Catapano added 82 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown. He also completed 5-of-11 passes for 83 yards and another score.

Sa’id Boykin had a career-high 72 yards on 13 carries, while Zhyaire Fernandes hauled in five catches for 83 yards and a touchdown.

Southern, which has won two straight, improved to 3-5 (3-4 NE-10). Bentley fell to 4-4 (4-3).
