To the Editor:

Re “$800 Million Subway Rescue Plan Adds Cars and Subtracts Seats” (front page, July 26):

This sounds like a novelty for New York, but also a monstrosity. How about the elderly? How about pregnant women? How about those who feel a bit out of sorts but go to work anyway?

These seat-free cars on crowded routes will also encourage theft and touching.
